The college's Business
& Career Institute is located in College Center One on Route
6 in South Holland. Facilities include the new state of the art
ACT Center-our technology based training and testing labs, the Manufacturing
Extension Center, Procurement Technical Assistance Center, Small
Business Assistance Center, Technical and Managerial Career Programs,
and Economic & Workforce Development activities.

- IT courses and workshops
for individuals and companies through partnerships with Cisco,
Microsoft, Novell, CompTIA, C-Tech and other emerging industry
leaders.
- Management development
through affiliations with Dale Carnegie, Ken Blanchard and Zig
Ziglar.
- Short term career training
for the Transportation industry (Truck Driving, Coach (Bus) Maintenance,
and Motorcycle Repair).
- Workforce Development programs
that range from contract training to career development
- Grant funds to help businesses
pay for retraining their employees.
- Technical assistance for
companies wishing to sell their products or services to the government.
- Counseling services for
start-up and expanding businesses through the Small Business Assistance
Center, SCORE and Executive Service Corps.
- Consulting services for
manufacturers seeking assistance with technology deployment and
other workplace issues through our affiliation with the Chicago
Manufacturing Center.
