The
Business & Career Institute is the home of the ACT
Center, a technology based training and testing facility, as well
as Workforce Development, IT Training, Contract Training, the
Manufacturing Extension Center, Procurement Technical Assistance
Center and the Small Business Assistance Center.

BCI's
state-of-the-art computer lab hosts many computer classes, business
functions and workshops. This facility houses the ACT Center
which offers over 1,500 computer-based courses in 7 categories.

As
part of the ACT Center, a single computer station is located in
a separate area and equipped with software and devices to assist
persons with special needs.
|
In the ACT Center training lab a person can receive individual
computer-based instruction or training in a "blended"
format with an instructor.

|
Within
the Business & Career Institute, persons pursuing career certifications
and professional licensure can sit for the exam in a secure, comfortable
and distraction-free testing room. BCI is approved to administer
exams through VUE (Virtual University Enterprise), Certiport (Microsoft
Office Specialist) and the ACT Center.

Many
area residents and employers take advantage of this nearby office
facility with diverse offerings in career training, personal development,
business assistance, and continuing education.
