This program will prepare student theoretically and technically for entry level positions with crime laboratories. This program is designed to expose students to a broad subject matter of anthropology, psychology, pathology, forensic laboratory technology, crime scene analysis, fingerprint technology, document analysis, pattern analysis, examination procedures, applicable law and regulations, and professional standards and ethics. Student must complete all prerequisites by December prior to the year seeking admission. Students must complete all Forensic Science Technology program courses and general education courses with a “C” or better. Once admitted into the Forensic Science Technology Program, students will be asked to complete a criminal background check and a possible drug screening. Eligibility of internship sites might be dependent on results of the criminal background and drug screening results.
