Welcome to the Department of Business and Technology at South Suburban College. Our programs explore a wide range of subjects relating to various aspects of business and marketing/retailing. South Suburban College is proud to offer courses designed to give students the background that they need to go on to advanced degree institutions. Many of these courses are specifically designed for transfer, enabling students to complete their first two years of coursework leading towards a Bachelor's degree in virtually any field of study at a four year college or university.

A Letter From the Dean

Dear Student,

The Department of Business and Technology at South Suburban College offers our students many advantages. We have a commitment to continuous improvement in ourselves, our programs, and our processes. As an example, program and curriculum improvements are directly driven by the people who hire our graduates. All program areas meet at least once a year with employers to see what's going on in the work place and how we can best modify our course offerings to meet the demands of an ever-changing economy.

Our primary objectives are to provide you the opportunity for an excellent education, to teach you skills that are wanted by employers, and to prepare you for lifelong learning for those future changes we don't know about yet.

We offer a diverse approach to instruction. Our full-time faculty are professional educators who have made the learning and teaching experience their life's mission. Our outstanding adjunct (part-time) faculty work in the "real world" and bring these experiences into the classroom.
