What will I learn in class?

By enrolling in South Suburban College's electronics engineering technology program, you'll receive a solid, yet flexible, education in both theory and lab techniques and skills. Our electronics engineering technology program is designed around a first year core in mathematics, hands-on usage of test equipment and digital and analog circuit theory. Courses include AC/DC circuits and machines, digital electronics and electrical drafting, as well as industrial electronics.

What is the employment outlook?

South Suburban College's electronics engineering technology students develop essential skills for employment as technicians and technologists with industries involving telecommunications, computers, industrial electronics and robotics, audio systems, automation, electrical power broadcasting, aviation and consumer electronics servicing. Employment opportunities are excellent, with starting salaries ranging from $16,000 to $24,000 according to the Occupational Outlook Handbook.
