Dual Credit for High School Courses

 

South Suburban College and the Career Development System have developed articulation agreements granting college credit to qualifying students for courses taken in high school.

To be eligible, a student:

1. Must have completed appropriate high school courses with an average of "B" or better.
2. Must submit a completed SSC application and registration form.

Credit will be posted on the student's South Suburban College transcript upon completion of the course. The student is responsible for finding out if such credit will transfer to another college or university and if the credit will be applied toward a specific degree or certificate program.

A.I.M. Summer Bootcamps

Through Academic Intervention for Matriculation (A.I.M.), South Suburban College and District 205 (Thornwood, Thornridge, and Thornton High Schools) will identify, remediate, and prepare students for college readiness. Summer "Boot Camps" for Academic Readiness are now available to provide skill building in areas identified as weaknesses through diagnostic testing or EPASS data. For more information on the A.I.M.
