Clients of the
Business & Career Institute (BCI) were among several small businesses
who received awards and recognition at the 1st Annual Small Business
Association Summit Awards in October at the Calumet Country Club in
Homewood.
Professional Locomotive Services of Lansing, IL, received the Training Excellence Award for employee training provided through a partnership with South Suburban College and Houston Associates, a human resources training firm with offices in Lansing, IL, and Phoenix, AR. . "We are extremely pleased to see Professional Locomotive and CEO Adela Ortega receive this recognition, commented Richard Reichert, director of the Lansing office. This small company of 16 employees works diligently to keep all of their employees well-trained and will be able to grow their company and create new jobs as a result." "We expect to see great strides from Professional Locomotive as a result of their extensive staff training," added Ron Segvich, workforce specialist for BCI. Grier Abrasives of South Holland, Zoll Foods of Chicago and Bevel Granite of Calumet Park received Certificates of Recognition for the training programs they provide their employees through the college. |
