Microsoft Certification Training Courses

The following courses provide hands-on training in Microsoft network applications. Each course covers material that corresponds to a test in the Microsoft Certification.

Please note:
Certification testing for many of the following courses is available through the ACT Center testing facility at South Suburban College’s Business & Career Institute. In most instances, registering for the certification test is an independent function and an additional fee for the testing is charged. For information on testing, contact Lois Fuentes, ACT Center, 708-225-5880.

MICROSOFT CERTIFIED SYSTEM ENGINEER (MCSE)

What Exams must I take after completing the coursework to obtain the MCSE certification?

MCSE's must pass four operating system exams and two elective exams that provide a validated, reliable measure of technical proficiency and expertise. The operating system exams require candidates to demonstrate their expertise with desktop, server, and networking components. The elective exams test candidates' proficiency with Microsoft BackOffice products.

MCSE's are qualified to effectively plan, implement, maintain and support information systems in various computing environments using the Microsoft NT Server and other Microsoft integrated products.
