 In
semester PRIOR to the one in which you plan to complete your Degree or Certificate:
-
Schedule
an appointment with a counselor, (708) 596-2000 ext. 2306, Room
2350, to assure your
curriculum code is correct, and that all
the requirements for the curriculum are met. (Requirements
will be based upon
the catalog in effect the year you
began taking courses at SSC, as long as you did not
have 4 consecutive
semesters,
including summer semesters, where you did not take any
classes.)
-
Students
who did not graduate from a high school in the
State of Illinois, or graduated prior to 1967, must
complete the Illinois and United States Constitution tests.
You may contact the Admissions Office to determine if you
have met this requirement, main campus room 2230, or (708)
596-2000 ext. 2329 or 2340. If you know you need to take
the Constitution test (online Constitution
Study Guide), you can register to take it in the Testing
Center, or take PSC 101 and PSC 102, or take
PSC 105.
During
the semester in which you plan to complete your Degree or Certificate:
-
The
Records Department will send you a letter identifying your status,
as well as a form to indicate your diploma name and current
mailing address. This form needs to be completed if you want
an official diploma. As a student completes a Degree or Certificate,
it will automatically be posted to the official SSC transcript,
with or without a diploma.
