BPI and RESNET/HERS Rater Certification training coming in July

SOUTH HOLLAND, IL – The Business & Career Institute (BCI) of South Suburban College and Priority Energy Solutions are co-hosting a special week-long energy training event at the University & College Center in Oak Forest July 16 – 20, 2012. The five day BPI Building Analyst & Envelope and RESNET/HERS Rater Certification training programs will take place Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Field tests will take place on the following Monday and Tuesday, July 23rd and 24th, and will be arranged with the instructor.

Advanced registration is encouraged so textbooks can be mailed for early reading assignments. The costs of following program options include materials, exam fees, and mentored ratings:

• BPI Building Analyst Certification - $1850
• RESNET Certification - $2150
• BPI Building Analyst plus Envelope Certification - $2350
• RESNET plus BPI Building Analyst Certification - $2850
• RESNET plus BPI Building Analyst & Building Envelope Certification - $3195

The program instructors are energy auditors who work in the field every day and have backgrounds in Building Sciences and Engineering. Priority Energy Solutions is also the only training center to include a three-hour Infrared session taught by a certified thermographer. In 2011, Priority Energy audited over 1,000,000 square feet of residential and commercial space.
