Manufacturing Workforce Development Conference: Oct. 26

SSC's Business & Career Institute to host 4th annual Manufacturing Workforce Development Conference on Friday, October 26, 2012, at the University & College Center in Oak Forest.

BCI recognizes the challenges and struggles that regional manufacturers are facing, and is committed to working to assist in their continued success. BCI began hosting the Workforce Development Conference to share the latest information for businesses. This year the conference theme is "Making it in the USA!"

The day will begin with a panel of experts sharing their insight and knowledge assisting businesses in using best practices to grow, improve, and succeed. Participants will then choose from various breakout sessions addressing topics such as sales, social media, generations in the workforce and much more. A tasty lunch is planned with all menu items donated by local food manufacturers, such as bread, luncheon meats and desserts. The day will conclude with our keynote speaker, Kevin Lewton, from Met Demand Inc., discussing reshoring.

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. The conference begins promptly at 8:00 a.m. and concludes at 1:30 p.m. The cost of $19 per person (preregistered) includes the conference, a continental breakfast, and lunch. The cost for walk-ins is $29 per person.
