Mission Statement
The primary mission of the Faculty Development Committee is to develop and support professional development programs for full-time and adjunct faculty. Our goal is to improve the quality of instruction and promote overall faculty excellence. This committee will work in tandem with the Outcomes Assessment and Academic Standards Committees to make faculty aware of the latest trends in classroom research, innovative teaching strategies, and technological advancements, all of which are intended for the improvement of student learning.

Planning Day Follow-up Information
The Planning Day with Ed Barlow on Ocotber 16, 2007 provided us with tons of information, and enticed us to think about the future and to collaborate on new initiatives and curricular change. Some great ideas were generated and now we need to follow-up on those ideas. Your department is encouraged to help prepare South Suburban College and its students for the future as you simultaneously earn PGU-credits.
