PURCHASING OFFICE

In accordance with the requirements set forth in Illinois Compiled Statutes, Chapter 110, Section 805/3-27.1, the Board of Trustees of Community College District #510, shall award all contracts for purchase of supplies, materials or work involving an expenditure in excess of $10,000 or such other minimum amount as may be specified in said section to lowest responsible bidder considering conformity with specifications, terms of delivery, quality and serviceability, after due advertisement. Competitive bidding shall not be required for those contracts specifically exempted from competitive bidding by Illinois Compiled Statutes.

Bidders are advised to review all conditions, requirements, quantities, and descriptions set forth in the bid specifications prior to submitting their bids to ensure that all bids have been verified for completeness and accuracy.

The College will strictly enforce compliance with the terms of all bids accepted by the College.

Bid Lists
A vendor should submit a written request to be placed on our bid lists. This request must be on company letterhead and include the type of product or service you wish to supply to the College. The letter should be addressed as follows:

Upon receipt of you letter, your name will be placed on the appropriate bid list(s) and you will receive any future bids that pertain to your product or service. Additionally, the College will place a legal notice in a publication of general circulation within our district for the purpose of notifying all interested parties of our intent to solicit bids.
