SSC on CABLE TV - "THE EDUCATOR "
You may have noticed some changes in our programming and schedule. We’re proud to announce that we have combined our video resources with Governors State University (GSU).
A joint partnership between SSC and GSU increases
the educational opportunities both are able to supply. By
merging program schedules and efforts, we are providing a richer
learning experience to residents in over fifty municipalities.
Our broadcast area now extends from Chicago to Kankakee on Comcast channel 16. You can find us on WideOpenWest (WOW!) Cable, channel 24 in South Holland, Oak Forest and Calumet City, Illinois. Additionally, we have launched with AT&T U-verse TV - you can find us on channel 99 / South Holland, IL. |

- AUDIO - MULTIMEDIA PRODUCTION
Our
department hosts the latest in broadcast technology including
two AVID nonlinear editing systems. We offer a full service video
and audio studio that support the following media formats:
MPEG-2, BETACAM SP, DVCAM, DV, VHS, DVD, and DAT. Additionally, we provide
video encoding
for streaming and on-demand content as well as CD-Rom/DVD development.
WEB
DEVELOPMENT
Our department
has the design and technical responsibilities of the College's web and
electronic media endeavors. We utilize a vast array of software that includes
Macromedia Web Design Studio and various Adobe products. For additional

SATELLITE
DOWNLINKS
The Main Campus
has two satellite dishes with Digital, C and KU analog band capabilities.
Programs can be downlinked from satellite and viewed live on campus or
on "The Educator".
