1994 playing for Chicago Latin American Soccer Association throughout Chicago and the suburbs. She has coached players from four years old to young adults. She is a teacher, and is a graduate from Chicago State University where she earned a B.S. in Physical Education. Coach Marilu also brings experience from her service as a student athletic trainer at NIU.
Coach Marilu has received many awards like Major of the Year 2004 and teacher of the month of November 2006. She combines academics and sport to develop students into student athletes. Coach Marilu described her philosophy as “applying all team skills to real life situations and expecting excellence on and off the pitch.”
