Deborah Scott — Head Coach

Deborah Scott returns as the head volleyball coach at South Suburban College after a four year absence. During Coach Scott's first tenure at SSC, her squads finished as runner-up in the Region IV Tournament (2000) and placed well in local college tournaments in 1998-99. Deborah has also assisted with the SSC Lady Bulldog Women's Basketball team.

A 1996 graduate of Chicago State University, Deborah excelled in volleyball (2-year letter winner) and basketball (4-year letter winner). She has a degree in Occupational Therapy and currently works with the Chicago Public Schools as an Occupational Therapist.

Coach Scott currently resides in Chicago with her nephew, Freddie and her son, Scott.

Kerry Griffin — Assistant Coach

Coach Griffin is starting her first year as assistant volleyball coach at SSC. A graduate of Seton Academy where she lettered in volleyball, basketball, and softball. She went on to Benedictine University where she earned her bachelor's degree in Social Sciences.

After graduating from college, Kerry returned to Seton to teach and coach volleyball, basketball, and softball at different levels. She is currently teaching Social Studies at Schrum Memorial Middle School in Calumet City where she has coached basketball and track. Coach Griffin lives in Crestwood.
